Nice. Thanks. For a minute there I thought Yuki had that armbar. smile.gif

You shoulda posted this in mma.

I DEMAND a Pavel Nastula VS Roger Gracie fight. I DEMAND it.

They are both over there and looking for good comp to each. The loser wouldn't lose respect or lose spot and the winner would benefit greatly imo. If it is a great fight then could make things much better for both easy. They have to soon tho.

I just DEMAND it.:)

now that Roger got his feet wet in MMA i think it's time to give him a "name" in MMA before everyone jumps on the " Roger p4p best fighter in the world" bandwegon it no doubt that he is great at grappling and but i wanna see more of what he can do in mma.

BTW Roger over Pavel Nastula by anything he wants.

Very methodical fight by Roger, it looked good. Hard to tell how he is in striking from that short exchange, but he came out with his hands up and moving properly - I suspect he's been training striking as well. I wonder where he's training MMA. His BJJ is world reknown, he's been cross training in judo at the Budokwai, but neither of those is going to give him striking practice ...

Its a bet!! biggrin.gif manoyes.gif

Really tho, tell me that it wouldn't be an amazing interesting fight to see. Just due to the style backgrounds and that they relatively equal each other out. Rogers young, Pavel has a few more fights, same size...

let us DEMAND it Vitor. In your case for another feeler-outer fight for Roger. In mine, to create the Pawel chant.

the Kid is a world champ in Bjj trains judo at the Budokwai....Kenzo NAKAMURA is one of his training buddys.

simply Put Natsula got nothing the kid has never seen (unless he took up catchwrestling or some mixed submission art)

LOL. Mon frere. I'd like to assure you that at this time judo and bjj has nothing on fighting in who wins this.

Nastula will chuck him down and punch him out. I'll take the scrapper. Thats what this fight would be. Nastula can scrap. Can't really say on Roger yet but he didn't easily opt to smash out little Kondo...

What they've seen don't mean beans yet. They'd scrap and the fool will TRY something. Nastula is a natural scrapper. Is Roger? I don't think he is.

Besides...Nastula has better judo. biggrin.gif ingrained..and has been away from it longer. +1.

Roger´s opponent was much smaller them him, I can´t read the subtitle in the video because they are too small. But Roger weights about 100 kg (220 lbs), and kondo less them 90 kg (200lbs). Rogers last fight was against a 129kg fighter, so this choice seems strange to me. Besides that, he dominated and did everything right.

Roger have all the tools to be a great MMA fighter, and its is good that he is not rushing his carrer, he is getting experience before getting top competition. In a year or two he will get there. In the mean time I would like to see him facing Yoshida and Sakuraba.
Them he must chose if he wants to go heavyweight or lightweight. I don´t think he have enough power to be a heavy, so he could drop to 205, and be a big at this category.

I was hoping Yoshida and Sakaraba retire. smile.gif

He should fight Nastula NOW. While they're new so little damage is done but plenty build.

Rumor has it that Nastula is going to Sengoku and that his 1st will be Nakao.

He's been at Renzo's: http://www.graciemag.com/news/151/ARTICLE/...2008-05-11.html

Roger fights BJJ in the gi at 97kg (at the Mundials you weigh in as you step on the mat for your first fight). He'd make 205 quite literally without breaking a sweat and he wouldn't be particularly big for the weightclass. A lot of LHW are 220 or more as they step into the cage.

Roger looked good but when did he get fat? Kondo too...

Fat??? Have you seen Kazuhiro Nakamura?
jacket wrestler
Yeh roger trains mma with Renzo .he looked a lot bigger than kondo somthing that is quite unusual realy for a gracie to be much larger than the opponent and seemed to do a set piece from the clinch just basic jiu jitsu .
For mma today you need to be all rounder as a grappler its nice to see wins with pure jiu jitsu but i think its down to the match makers
who at this early stage in his mma will be very carefull
